Urbanisation Works

The development of a new car park in Via Risorgimento (Rho), is part of the urbanisation work undertaken as part of the Galeazzi Sant'Ambrogio Hospital, in the former Expo area.

The project will see the extension of the existing flush parking structure in order to create 842 spaces over three levels (one flush and two elevated).

Due to an agreement in which the Municipality of Rho requested that the car park be ready to coincide with the opening of the hospital, the structure was designed to be built over a short time period; as such a metal structure with prefabricated reinforced concrete slab floors was chosen.

The car park will have a slender and regular appearance in order to give it a lighter more airy feel; however, without compromising stability and functionality.

Work began in July 2021 and is currently at an advanced stage of construction and completion is scheduled for July 2022. The total amount planned for the construction of the car park is 10.5 million euros.
